How We Track GPU Prices and Stock

Graphics card prices in Korea move with global launches, memory supply, and retail stock. This page explains how we check availability, how we quote prices, and what happens when you send an inquiry.

Why GPU prices move

Prices respond to forces well outside any single shop. Global GPU launches reset the market, memory supply affects cost, and retail stock levels determine what is actually buyable on a given week.

GDDR7 memory cost
Has pressured prices across NVIDIA's RTX 50 lineup.
Radeon RX 9000 series
Follows its own supply rhythm, separate from green-team launches.
Intel Arc B-series
Availability tracks Intel's allocation cycles.
Seoul street pricing
When those inputs shift, Gangnam retail prices shift with them.

None of that is under our control. What we can control is how quickly we reflect it.

What we check and how often

We verify stock and pricing with our suppliers on a regular cadence rather than publishing a static list.

When you ask about a specific model, you get the current figure, not a cached one.

High-demand models

Checked most often

The RTX 5090, premium AIB cards from ZOTAC and ASUS, and other flagship SKUs change availability most often. Those are the models where a daily call-back to the distributor is worth the time.

Mainstream cards

Slower cycle

Mid-range parts move less, but supply still varies week to week. A 1440p card that shipped freely last month can thin out when a launch pulls stock toward the halo SKUs.

Your specific request

Live figure

Because you name the model and variant, we can pull the exact supplier figure at the moment you ask. That is the number that matters, and it is the number we quote back to you.

Why we don't post a fixed price list

A number that is wrong by Friday wastes your afternoon.

A fixed list would be inaccurate within days of publishing, and inaccurate pricing costs you a wasted trip to Gangnam. It also creates false expectations: the listed number goes stale the moment a card sells out.

Instead, we quote current prices when you ask and explain what is driving them. That is slower than reading a table, but the figure you get reflects the shelf on the day you called, not the day we published.

How to confirm availability

Ask us directly by phone, through the contact form, or in person at the Gangnam shop. Give us the model name and any variant, since AIB cards from partners like ZOTAC and ASUS differ in price and availability.

We will tell you whether it is on hand, expected soon, or unavailable. If a card is out of stock, we suggest alternatives at a similar price or performance level.

  1. 1

    Name the exact card

Model plus variant. "RTX 5070 Ti" and "ZOTAC GAMING RTX 5070 Ti AMP Extreme" are two different quotes.

  2. 2

    Tell us the build

Case length, PSU wattage, and slot layout matter. This is where we catch most of the compatibility surprises before the counter.

  3. 3

    Get the live answer

Current price, availability status, and any constraints that apply. If a card is out, we suggest what fills the gap at a similar tier.

Reading an inquiry response

When we reply to a stock inquiry, we include the current price, the availability status, and any constraints that apply to your build. If a card will not fit your case or your power supply cannot support it, we say so before you commit. If a cheaper card would serve you just as well, we mention that too — the goal is a decision you won't regret.

Current price
Quoted from the supplier call on the day you asked, with the reason it is where it is when we know the reason.
Availability
On hand, expected soon, or unavailable. Rough timing for the middle case when we have it.
Build fit
Cooler length, slot width, PSU headroom, and cable clearance. If something won't fit, you hear it first.
Alternatives
Cards at a similar price or performance level that we can actually get you in the same week.
Honest caveat
If a cheaper card would serve you just as well, we say so even when it costs us the upgrade.

When stock is tight

Waiting sometimes means paying more, not less.

Flagship cards and newly launched models see the tightest supply, and that is when patience matters. Prices on scarce cards can drift upward. We will tell you honestly whether a model is likely to restock soon or whether availability is unpredictable. In tight markets, flexibility on the exact variant often gets you a card faster than waiting for the version you had pinned.

Handling price changes

If a price changes between your inquiry and your purchase, we tell you before completing anything. No one likes discovering a different number at the counter.

We also explain the reason when we know it, whether that is a supplier change or a broader market shift. If the new price does not work for you, we revisit the alternatives together.

What a price change usually means here

Distributor re-priced
Told you and re-quoted at the new figure.
Launch week volatility
Advise waiting a beat if you are flexible.
Variant swap available
Often the fastest path to a card in hand.

Questions we get about stock and pricing

Can I get a price over the phone right now?

Yes, if the supplier desk is reachable. If not, we take your model name and variant and call you back with the current figure. We would rather call you back with a live number than guess on the spot.

How often do you actually re-check the catalog?

High-demand cards get checked more often than mainstream ones, because they change more often. The catalog pages reflect the most recent confirmed status, not a fixed weekly table. Any figure in a specific quote is live at the time you ask.

What if the price is different when I arrive at the shop?

We quote a validity window when circumstances are moving fast. If it has expired, we tell you at the counter before ringing anything up, explain why, and let you decide. Nothing is completed at a number you did not agree to.

Can you hold a card while I decide?

Short holds are possible on a case-by-case basis, especially on slower-moving parts. On tight-supply cards we usually cannot, because another buyer is asking about the same SKU. Ask and we will tell you what is realistic for that specific model.

Do you track laptop GPUs too?

Yes, though laptop configurations vary by chassis and cooling, so the interesting part is usually which specific model ships with which GPU. Ask about the exact laptop model and we check that configuration with the distributor.

Ask about a card, or just come by

If a model is on your shortlist, send the exact name and the build it is going into. If you would rather look at the rack in person, the shop is in Gangnam and the door is open during business hours.
